GRANTMAKERS IN AGING RECEIVES $1.3 MILLION GRANT

Grantmakers In Aging (GIA), a national association of funders, and the Pfizer Foundation announced a second year of funding totaling $1.3 million for Community AGEnda, an initiative aimed at helping American communities become more age-friendly, meaning great places to grow up and grow old.

VIDEO: MT. LEBANON VILLAGE HONORS ED EMACK

The Limited Mobility Ministry at Southminister Presbyterian Church was born from the generous spirit of Ed Emack more than 20 years ago with his simple idea to start a local lending library of medical equipment for those in need. There is now often so much equipment that Southminster is able to send its surplus to third-world countries. This ministry Ed started is a blessing to the community as much as Ed is a blessing to our community. Mt. Lebanon Village is proud to honor Ed Emack with this video.

 

MT. LEBANON MIDDLE SCHOOLERS HELP ELDERS MASTER COMPUTERS

Lucille Giles of Mt. Lebanon had never sat in front of a keyboard before she attended her first computer lesson at Mellon Middle School in Mt. Lebanon last week with her 12-year-old tutor.

MT. LEBANON VILLAGE PROUDLY ANNOUNCES

In addition to having a traditional (full) membership category, Mt. Lebanon Village (“Village”) hereby establishes an associate membership category to enhance the Village’s mission and to provide support and encourage giving to the Village; and that Associate Membership is open to surrounding community residents from Scott, Castle Shannon and Bethel Park in addition to residents of Mt. Lebanon.

Dues for the associate members are $200.00 per year per person and $300.00 per year per household with 75 percent of this fee being tax-deductible; and associate members are entitled to services provided to full members (with the exception of transportation services). All members have access to the Village’s Vetted Service Provider Referral Service List!
